Everyone loves a sweet treat, am I right? Especially when it is easy to make and doesn’t use too many ingredients! These are some tasty but simple desserts for you to make, you can even have the kids help if you wish!
This recipe is very similar to one from my mother-in-law. I don’t really remember making them when I was little, but my husband did and we would make them from time to time and always mess something up LOL. They would be too sticky or too runny or would just taste wrong! My tips would be to make sure it isn’t too humid, make sure to put them on parchment paper, and if they have trouble setting up, put them in the fridge!
I have always loved friend ice cream and have looked for ways to make it at home. My husband made this for me years ago, and it has quickly became a favorite of mine and a go-to dessert for family potlucks. All you have to do is mix together the ingredients, make the topping, and put it in the freezer for a couple hours and ta-da…yummy fancy-tasting dessert!
I first made these about 5 years ago for my sister’s baby shower and they were an instant hit! I remember my niece eating several and wanting me to make them again! Over the years, I have made them from time to time using different cake mixes, like funfetti, strawberry, and chocolate. I do have to say my favorite has to be with the yellow cake mix. Go ahead and try them out with whatever mix sounds good to you!
I have seen different versions of these around for years and finally tried them out after a co-worker of mine said she made them with her kids at home. These are peanut-buttery, delicious, and filling at the same time. (They would be a great small snack for a pregnant or nursing mother!) You can make them plain or add M&Ms or chocolate chips. You can also decide how big you want them to be. When I made them with my kids, we used scoops and made them pretty small.
This is another recipe I first made several years ago, when I discovered Pinterest! Who remembers when they used to try to make everything off of there? Those where the good ole’ days! This recipe is chocolaty and open to interpretation. I have added chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, M&Ms, chocolate syrup, and ice cream to my brownie…and they were all yummy!
Please go ahead and try one of these recipes out! They are as delicious as they are easy! Let me know in the comments if you try any of these and also let me know what your favorite and easy treats are!
